Silicone Shock Absorber oil
What does the "wt" rating mean in the context of suspension fluids?
This refers to how thick the oil is otherwise known as its viscosity. If water is 0 and tar is 100 you start to get an idea of what thickness 5 weight oil will be.
A heavier fluid or the one with more weight (wt) will take away some small bump compliance but the suspension will have a lot more support in the stroke.
A lighter fluid or the one with less weight will make the suspension a lot more supple, but the suspension will dive in a lot since the fluid will flow through the compression circuit alot easier.
